FHP

1. The heating cable shall consist of two 16 AWG nickel-plated copper bus wires, embedded in a self-regulating polymeric core. Cables shall have a temperature identification number (T-rating) of T6 (185°F or 85°C) for FHP-2 and T4 (275°F or 135°C) for FHP-3.

2. The FHP-2 heating cable shall have continuous exposure (maintain) capability up to 150°F (65°C) and intermittent exposure capability up to 185°F (85°C). The FHP-3 shall have continuous exposure (maintain) capability up to 225°F (110°C) and intermittent exposure capability up to 225°F (110°C).

3. A 30-mA residual current device or ground leakage circuit breaker must be used to provide protection from arcing or fire and to comply with nVent Thermal Management requirements, agency certifications, and national electrical codes.

4. The heating cable shall have a tinned copper braid protected by a fluoropolymer outer jacket.
